Glossary Scrum master
Scrum master
AgileScrum
Definition
The person on a Scrum team who owns the process rather than the product or the code — runs the ceremonies, removes what blocks the team, and keeps the practice honest
Not a project manager and not the team's boss; the role has no authority over what is built, only over how the team works. The measure of a good one is a team that would run the same way if they were away.
The word "master" misleads; "servant" was the original framing. The job is mostly asking what is in the way and then going away to move it.
