main
<main>, main element, main landmark, skip to contentDefinition
The element for a page’s primary content — the part that is unique to this page, not the navigation, header or footer repeated on every page — exactly one visible per document, the target of a skip link, and the main landmark a screen reader jumps to first
The most consequential landmark and the one frameworks most often forget: a shell that renders the page inside a <div> leaves every route’s content outside any landmark, and axe’s region rule fires on every render. That is exactly what this site’s layouts fixed — Nuxt UI’s dashboard panel renders a plain <div>, so the layouts add the <main> themselves and the comment says why. One per page; if there seem to be two, one of them is a <section>.
Everything that is this page and nothing that is every page. The skip link goes here, the screen reader starts here, and the rest of the layout is the frame around it.
