What this site is built with, set in, drawn with, and runs on — with each thing's license, so credit lands where it is due.

A colophon is the note at the end of a book that says how it was made. This one says what the site stands on. Everything below is listed with its own license; the site's own code is not published.

Built with

Nuxt 4, Vue 3, Nuxt UI 4 and Tailwind CSS 4, with Nuxt Content for the writing and Drizzle ORM over libSQL for the rest. Sign-in is Better Auth. All MIT or Apache-2.0; the full list is at the end.

Set in

Barlow by Jeremy Tribby for the text and JetBrains Mono for the structure — eyebrows, labels, code. Roboto and Lobster appear in two of the themes. Every face is under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, served from this site through Fontsource rather than from a font host.

Drawn with

Icons follow the reader's chosen set: Tabler (MIT), Lucide (ISC), Phosphor (MIT), Heroicons (MIT) or Remix Icon (Apache-2.0), delivered by Iconify. Brand marks come from Simple Icons and SVG Logos, both CC0. Charts are Unovis (Apache-2.0); diagrams are Mermaid (MIT); code is colored by Shiki (MIT).

Colored by

Three of the eight themes carry other people's palettes, with thanks: Nord by Sven Greb, Dracula by Zeno Rocha, and Catppuccin by the Catppuccin community — each MIT. Broadsheet was first cut in this site's sibling starter, nuxt-kickstart. The others are this site's own.

Runs on

Railway hosts it; Turso holds the database; Resend sends the sign-in email and Twilio the SMS; Fathom counts readers without cookies; Google Maps draws the maps on the pages that have one. Code lives on GitHub.

The book covers on the reading list are the publishers' own. One stock photograph is licensed from Adobe Stock (asset 1839050697). Photographs of people are theirs, used with permission.
