Wireframe

Also known as: wireframes, wireframing, low-fidelity mockup
UXDesign

Definition

A low-fidelity layout of a screen: structure, hierarchy and content placement, without visual design, so layout can be discussed before color and type distract from it

Boxes, placeholder text and labels. The point of low fidelity is that it invites changes; a polished mock gets feedback on the polish. The steps after it are the mockup (visual design) and the prototype (behavior).

Design System

Wireframe for layout, prototype for behavior.
