Linting
Also known as:
lint, linterTechTesting
Definition
Static analysis for style and likely mistakes — unused variables, inconsistent formatting, patterns a team has decided against — run by a linter against rules the project chose
The cheapest gate there is and the one most worth automating: on save, on commit, in CI. Its rules are decisions written down, which is why a lint config is worth reading.
The rulebook, enforced. A lint rule is a team decision that no longer needs a reviewer to remember it.
In this repository: ESLint with @antfu/eslint-config — two-space indent,
no semicolons, single quotes, kebab-case filenames, template before script
in a Vue file. pnpm run lint:fix applies it; the pre-commit hook applies
it to staged files whether you asked or not.
