The only third-party script this site loads, through the nuxt-fathom module. Which site
receives the numbers is each environment's decision — production and next have their own,
local development has none — and a reader who set Do Not Track, or the owner from a switch in
Settings, is not counted at all. It counts readers and nothing else, which is why the privacy
page can promise no cookies and no tracking in one sentence and the colophon can name it in
the same breath as Resend and Twilio.
Its one appearance in the issue tracker was as a suspect: #244 blamed it for a web-vitals
error on /cwds, and the investigation cleared it — the script came from the reporter's own
browser extension. The comment above the config block records that so nobody re-runs it.
The resource entry is the longer note.
