Introduction

Hello everyone. Today, I'm excited to showcase our latest integration project between Adobe Learning Manager and our AEM/ADMP environment.

Overview of Adobe Learning Manager (ALM) LMS

First, let's briefly look at Adobe Learning Manager. ALM is our LMS platform for administering learning content and assignments. The Learning content managers and authors will use the ALM interface to manage the learning content and assignments efficiently.

ALM Interface Overview (Demo)

Here's a quick overview of the ALM interface. You can see how we manage courses and assignments and track learner progress. This user-friendly interface simplifies our team's learning content administration.

  • Talk about roles (Author / Admin / Learner)
  • Describe the learning objects   - Courses - Basic type   - Learning Paths - A Learning Path is a bundle of Courses that complement each other or are built on a common theme   - Learning Plans - Allows an Admin to automate the assigning of Courses, Certifications or Learning Paths to Learners on the occurrence of certain events. E.g. A promotion or relocation. A Learning Plan automatically assigns pre-determined learning objects to the Learner.   - Certifications - Used to assign one-time or recurring learning events.   - Catalogs are collections of learning objects   - Learners can access Job Aids without enrolling in any training. Use Job Aids as reference material e.g. checklists or guides, to use at any time to complete a task. Learners can view and download Job Aids
  • Describe how content is organized (Catalog, Skills, Tags)   - Also talk about that we capture during the BOTOXONE HCP registration     - Role in Practice (Physician, Physician's Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Office Manager, Office Staff)     - Practice Specialty (Dermatology, Neurology, Pain Management, Primary Care, etc..)
  • While ALM can be used as a completely standalone product, the work that we've done with our integration project   leverage OOTB components and the provided RESTful API to build a custom badge/certificate of completion component...

ADMP/AEM (Demo)

We leveraged out-of-the-box components to embed learning modules directly into our AEM environment.

Here's the 'My Learning' dashboard where users can access their assigned courses. Below, you'll find where our custom badge component will be featured once it's out of QA.

Custom Badge Component Overview

In addition to the standard out-of-the-box components, we developed a custom badge component that integrates with the Adobe Learning Manager REST API. This component tracks learner achievements and displays earned badges.  It's currently undergoing final QA testing, and we’re excited about its possibilities for learner engagement and reporting.

While I can't demonstrate the badge component today, it's designed to pull real-time data from ALM and display earned badges directly within the AEM interface.

Conclusion and Next Steps

This integration is just the beginning. We're excited about the potential for further enhancements, like the badge component, to enrich our users' learning journeys. We look forward to rolling out these features and continuing to innovate."

Q&A

Thank you for your attention. I'm happy to answer any questions.

  1. Skills - are honed abilities that enhance employee performance and result in organizational success. Create a Skill and align it with relevant Courses.
  2. Recommendations - system allows you to create custom parameters that Learners can select to receive personalized recommendations
  3. Tags - are used by Learners to search for Courses/ Learning Paths/ Certifications/ Job Aids. Authors can search for content using tags during Course creation.

 - What I will show  - Then AEM pages – What I will show  - Don’t assume knowledges  - Agency partners responsibility  - Here is what an HCP will see  - Real time integration  - Can take the course  - Progress  - Search page where (facets, tagging)  - LMS is just providing the content  - HCP doesn’t know… it’s a seamless experience  - Place in order

Notes for LMS Demo

  • Header component, used across sites. benefit   - We modified our existing Header component, while preserving backwards compatibility
  • Certificates / Badges component   - configurable to display the most recently completed learning object   (and in progress) on the dashboard   - as as a component
  • From a Senior Leader's perspective...   - Show the value for the money spent.   - what would excite most.  reusability, cheaper, faster
