Glossary Endpoint
Endpoint
Also known as:
route, api routeTechAPI
Definition
One addressable operation of an API — a URL plus a method, with a defined request and response
"The endpoint" is where the contract is specific: this path, this verb, these parameters, this status. In this repository an endpoint is a file under server/api/; its path is its address and its filename suffix is its method.
The unit an API is made of. A design review that says "the API" is usually about one endpoint; naming it is the fastest way to make the conversation concrete.
