Conformance
conformance reading, conformance documentDefinition
A hand-authored, line-by-line reading of one adapter against its contract — for every field in the record, what the adapter does about it, cited to file and line, re-read at each pin
Not a program and not a verdict. The gate grades what it can measure — color-level, by rule — and is blind to var() bindings, to images and to shape; conformance covers the rest by a person reading, and a wrong line in it is wrong the ordinary way a sentence is. Evidence is a path:line, a test name, or a browser section of the counts document. Each re-read names the pin it was read at and which rows moved.
The third document an adapter gets, after its prediction and its counts, and the only one written by reading rather than by running. It exists because the automated gate said aligned about a type-scale rule that had compared nothing — the honest report was that two values could not be compared — and a reading is the only thing that can say what the adapter did about a field the gate cannot see.
Avoid: calling a grade a conformance, or a conformance a pass.
